ADRIFT GAMES
I have created some text adventures using ADRIFT 4.00 recently. Check the What is ADRIFT? page for more details on ADRIFT.
Below are descriptions and copies of my games. They are split into two categories, Long and Short, depending on the length of each game.
Please send any comments about the games to my e-mail address at adrift.reviews@gmail.com
DESCRIPTION OF LONG GAMES
THE POTTER AND THE MOULD (first released in April 2006)
This game features the past and present adventures of a shapeshifting superhero called the Mould. It finished second from four games in the Spring Thing competition organised by Greg Boettcher in April 2006. To download this game, click here (121k).
TAKE ONE (first released in October 2005)
Take One takes place on a movie set where as the director, you control the actions of a blonde actress playing the part of Indianette Jones. Take One was entered into the Finish the Game competition organised by David Whyld in October 2005, where it finished second from six entries. This competition had a few fixed room and inventory descriptions that had to be included in each game.

MUST ESCAPE! (first released in August 2005)
Must Escape! is an action-packed adventure where you must escape from a facility that you have sabotaged. This game features (stick figure) graphic violence. Must Escape! was entered into the InsideADRIFT Summer competition organised by KF in August 2005, where it finished fourth from five entries. It is also the extended version of the IntroComp game listed below.

FRUSTRATED INTERVIEWEE (first released in April 2005)
Frustrated Interviewee shows the story told by an interviewee in a job interview to illustrate different aspects of a difficult question. The story covers an apartment, three other friends and a quest on a computer game set in a strange clichéd fantasy land. This game was entered into the InsideADRIFT Spring competition organised by KF in April 2005, where it finished equal first from five entries. This game later finished equal fifth out of twelve games in the End of Year competition in December 2005.

VETERAN KNOWLEDGE (first released in February 2005)
This is the story of an old professional wrestler known as the Veteran, who wants one more chance to win the World title. It is not going to be easy, but he is willing to do whatever it takes to be victorious. The less wrestlers who reach the tournament, the better. Veteran Knowledge is based on my short game Veteran Experience, which finished second in the Three Hour competition held in November 2004. Veteran Knowledge contains violence, but not much more violence than normal pro wrestling. This game later finished equal ninth out of twelve games in the End of Year competition in December 2005.

TOO MUCH EXERCISE (first released in March 2006)
This introduction was entered in the Writing Challenges Comp, organised by David Whyld in March 2006, where it finished second out of four entries. This entry had to use one of five locations. I chose the Valley (which had to contain: Trees, bushes, grass, cottage, boulders, cave entrance and wooden sign).

VETERAN EXPERIENCE (first released in November 2004)
This game was entered into an ADRIFT Three Hour competition organised by Woodfish in November 2004, where it finished second from six entries. This game had to be written in three hours, so do not expect detailed descriptions. It is a short professional wrestling based game, where you play as a bitter veteran wrestler. The game contains violence.
