ABOUT THE EDITOR
GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT
I'm 23 years old, Australian, and fairly new to Interactive Fiction (IF), having only discovered it in early 2004. I was too young to have heard of Infocom earlier, but the Sierra and LucasArts graphic adventures have always been amongst my favourite games. I stumbled upon IF when I was searching the Internet for more games in this style.
After lurking until the end of the 2004 IF Competition, I decided that I
wanted to become a more active participant in the community and wrote a couple
of short minicomp games. I eventually decided to
focus more on ADRIFT, as I found the ADRIFT community to be a friendly place
and the program simple to use. I'm known as Rafgon on the ADRIFT forums if you
wish to contact me there. I originally wrote under a pseudonym, Robert Rafgon,
but I have recently decided to use my real name
After David Whyld stepped down as editor of the Reviews Exchange at the end of Issue 5, I decided to volunteer and become the new editor. Due to real life commitments, I stepped down after Issue 9, ending the Reviews Exchange, which has been replaced by the InsideADRIFT newsletter now accepting reviews.
For those interested in more information, I was interviewed by David Whyld in the 30th issue of InsideADRIFT (http://www.insideadrift.org.uk/e107/request.php?pub_insideadrift30.pdf)
MY INTERACTIVE FICTION GAMES
Please send any comments about the games to my e-mail address at adrift.reviews@gmail.com.
I have used two different platforms to write games. For more information about my games, which are listed after the platform used to create them, click on the links below.
ADRIFT Games (The Potter and the Mould, Frustrated Interviewee, Veteran Knowledge, Must Escape!, Take One and some other short games)
Inform Games (The Colour Pink, Turning Point)
I have also written some reviews of IF games that I have played, which have all been published in the issues of the Reviews Exchange on the main page of this site.
OTHER GAMES
Before I started writing Interactive Fiction I created many small games using Visual Basic. Although most of them are not very good, I have decided to post some of my better games below (please don't expect too much from them, as better is only a relative measure).
